How do you set the counting period for the SN-7928 within ScienceWorkshop software?
If you selected Geiger Counter (Old Method) from the list of analog sensors, double click on the sensor icon. Enter the time period and click OK.
If you selected Geiger Counter from the list (this selection uses less memory), you can set the counting period by clicking on the Sampling Options button in the Experiment Setup window of Science Workshop. In the Sampling Options window, adjust the periodic samples rate to the counting period you desire. For example, 50 Hz has a counting time period of 0.02 seconds. For longer time intervals, click on the slow button. Choose a sampling rate that is slow enough so that there will be several counts during the time interval. Click OK when finished.
Science Workshop records the total counts measured during the interval. For example, if 15 seconds is selected, Science Workshop will record the total number of counts for that interval every 15 seconds. If 10 Hz is selected, Science Workshop will record the total number of counts for that interval every 0.1 second.
