How do I troubleshoot connecting a wireless sensor?

How can troubleshoot the connection my sensor or device to pair through Bluetooth to my device?

By pressing and holding the power button for the device for 10 seconds while the sensor or device is connected to dedicated USB power (if the sensor has a USB port), this will reset the sensor and prepare the sensor to pair with your computing device.  Please reset the sensor after an unsuccessful pairing with a computing device.  Pressing and holding the power button for 10 s will also reset coin cell powered devices.

Please make sure that you have the latest version of PASCO software.  These are available at the following link.  www.pasco.com/downloads/

After an unsuccessful pairing with a sensor, please restart the PASCO software, reset your sensor, and if needed, toggle the bluetooth radio off and on on your computing device.

Other Troubleshooting Tips:

If your sensor has a USB port, connect to a Windows or Mac computer that is running the latest version of PASCO software and connect it to the computer using the USB cord that came with the sensor.   When the sensor is connected, if there is a firmware update that is available, you should be prompted for the update.

Please make sure that your operating system is running the latest version that is available for your device.

Check the manufacturer's page for your computing device to see if there are any other updates that are available (firmware, BIOS, etc.) that can be applied.

If you are still encountering issues, please visit the hardware subcomponent manufacturing support site (Intel, etc.) to see if they have any updates for hardware within your computing device that may have not been pushed out through the latest operating system update.
