String on launcher plumb bob broke

Finding the launch or track angle in a pinch.

Replacement plumb bobs for the launchers are available as part number ME-9868A

Using string an a nut as a weight, this can be an emergency plumb bob for the projectile launcher systems.  Please make sure the string is long enough that the weight will hang below the launcher at all angles to prevent the friction of the weight against the launcher from causing errors in the angular measurement.

If you need to get the launch angle before you can get your replacement parts, students may be able to download a level app for a cell phone that will be able to tell them with great accuracy the angle of the barrel above horizontal.
