Battery replacement instructions for ME-1240 and ME-1241

How do I replace the batteries in the ME-1240?

At the bottom of this knowledge base article is a link that contains the instructions for replacing the battery within the ME-1240. Care should be taken during the process and the old battery should be disposed of according to local battery disposal standards. Shipping lithium batteries can restrict shipping delivery speeds and options. In your inquiry, please include the best UPS shipping address so that our customer service team will more easily be able to help you. When contacting customer service or our International Selling Partners, please include part number PS-3296 in your inquiry if you have the older style carts without the B shown.  If you have a version with the B, please order the PS-3298 battery.

Some cases have been laser etched with the B so these cases will appear similar to the following images.

Proper removal of the old battery will require high quality drivers to make sure that the screw heads are not damaged. The PS-3299 kit contains drivers that will enable replacement of batteries within most PASCO products.
