Spectrometry for Chromebooks

A growing number of Chromebooks now support Spectrometry software for use with our Wireless Spectrometer.

With Google's introduction of Android apps running on Chromebooks, the PASCO Spectrometry application can now be downloaded and used with a growing list of compatible Chromebooks.

To use PASCO Spectrometry on your supported Chromebook, download the application from the Google Play store. Below is a link to the list of supported Chromebooks as well as links to instructions to enable Google Play for Managed and Unmanaged Chromebooks.

Chrome OS Systems Supporting Android Apps

Here is Google's growing list of supported Chromebooks. Any models labeled on this list as "Stable" support Spectrometry today. Any labled as "Beta" should be moved to stable within a month or two. Chromebooks labeled as "Planned" will be added according to Google's timeline. 

Installing Spectrometry on local or unmanaged devices.

Follow the instructions to install Google Play on your Chromebook and then download the Spectrometry app.

Make sure you have the latest Chrome update and are using a supported Chromebook. If not, you will not be allowed to enable Google Play.
