SPARKvue Science Learning Application from PASCO Scientific Is Named a STEM Solution Award Finalist in the 2016 EdTech Digest Awards

Roseville, Calif. — April 21, 2016 — PASCO® Scientific, a leader in 21st century science education, today announced that the SPARKvue® science learning application has been named a Cool Tool Award finalist in the STEM Solution category of the 2016 EdTech Digest Awards.

The EdTech Digest Awards Program recognizes people in and around education for outstanding contributions in transforming education through technology to enrich the lives of learners everywhere. Featuring the best and brightest in edtech, the annual recognition program seeks to highlight and celebrate the most effective products and the most innovative and inspiring people.

“We’re honored that SPARKvue is being recognized for the ways it’s transforming STEM education and unleashing the imaginations of learners around the world,” said Steven Korte, CEO of PASCO. “Using SPARKvue for data collection, analysis, and visualization as part of hands-on, inquiry-based science deepens students’ understanding. When student think and act like scientists — instead of just reading about science — they develop strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and are also motivated to learn more.”

SPARKvue is a powerful, yet easy to use science application that delivers data collection, visualization, and analysis tools in a content-rich, standards-based science learning and sharing environment. With SPARKvue, students are able to think and act like real scientists as they design and carry out experiments, analyzing their data to prove their hypothesis right or learn why it was wrong.

“This year's program had some very stiff competition and hard decisions were made in selecting winners. The honorees here are among the best and brightest in the edtech space. Finalists and winners both represent an achievement. We're proud to honor these cool tools, leaders and trendsetters in education technology,” said Victor Rivero, who oversees the program as editor-in-chief of EdTech Digest.
