Using DMM to determine current in modular circuit

While the preferred method for determining the current within a circuit constructed with modular circuits components is to use the Wireless Current Sensor Module (EM-3534), a Digital Multimeter (DMM) can be used to determine the current through a circuit constructed with modular circuit components by constructing the circuit with a missing block.  Using alligator clip attachments on the ends of a banana patch cable clipped to the jumper clips that are then attached to the DMM ports for the ammeter setting, the current through the circuit can be determined.

An alternate path is to use the Switch Module and to open the switch.  Patching the DMM into the circuit would be done by connecting the leads from the DMM to the jumper clips of the modular circuits would as shown in the above image.
