MatchGraph and Spectrometry on Chromebooks

Match Graph and Spectrometry not working on Chromebooks

On a Chromebook, there is the settings app. But there is also an Android settings that is separate.

Open the Chromebook settings.
At the top of the settings should be a search field. Type Android in the search.
There should be an item called Manage Android Preferences. Click on that.
This should look like the settings on an Android tablet or phone.
Click on Security & Location.
Under the Privacy section, there is the Location item. Click on Location.
Click on App-level permissions.
Find MatchGraph (or Spectrometry), and click the toggle button on the far right to turn it on.
Run MatchGraph (or Spectrometry), again. It should work now.

Since MatchGraph (and Spectrometry) are actually Android apps running on the Chromebook, they have to have location services enabled in the Android settings as well as the Chromebook settings.
