PS-3600/PS-3600A SPARK LXi Will Not Turn On or Hold a Charge

How can I get my LXi to turn back on and charge?

For the LXi version PS-3600 or PS-3600A (NOT the PS-3600B):

  • Press the LXi power once to make sure that the LXi interface is awake
  • Press and hold the LXi power button for up to 20 seconds to test the reset feature. The green LED should blink briefly a few times, and then the red LED will come on. After a few seconds, the red LED should turn off. If it doesn't turn off, the reset feature is not working. "Allow the app SPARKvue to access the USB device?". Select "OK".
  • Plug in USB tablet charger cable.
  • Wait about 10 seconds and note if the tablet starts charging (indicated by a beep and a lightning bolt over the battery icon on the tablet). If the tablet does not start charging, then there is a problem with the charge circuitry or battery.
  • While charging, the LED's should be blinking Green and Amber. If it initially comes up green, then there may be a problem with the charge circuitry (unless the battery is already fully charged).
    Unplug Charger.
  • If you have the appropriate screw drivers (specifically, a T5 screw driver), then you can unscrew the interface from the tablet and charge the tablet directly to power the tablet back on. This is usually the best way to go about getting the devices up and running again. Then reconnect the tablet to the interface and power on the interface and tablet (once tablet is sufficiently charged). If the light is blinking green-amber, then your device is able to charge again.
