How can I minimize the lateral forces on a PS-2141 Force Platform to keep the force platform working its best? The PS-2141 single axis force platform is designed to record vertical forces. If lateral forces must be exerted on the device, it is recommended that these lines of action for these forces are directed along the lines that pass between load cells 1 and 2, and 3 and 4. If large lateral forces are exerted along the lines action between load cells 1 and 4, and 2 and 3, the load cells within the platform can become misaligned and will decrease the accuracy of the device.
