01) Properties of Diodes
Students investigate the properties of a diode with current and voltage sensors. They use their observations to describe the behavior of a diode.
02) Transistor as an Amplifier
Students investigate the properties of a transistor with current and voltage sensors. They use their observations to describe the behavior of a transistor. They create a circuit to amplify the current produced by a solar cell being illuminated by an infrared remote control.
03) Light Emitting Diodes
Students investigate the properties of an LED with current and voltage sensors. They use their observations to describe the behavior of an LED. They create a circuit with an LED and incandescent bulb in parallel. They make comparisons between the operating characteristics of an LED and an incandescent bulb.
