Zero sensor data

Zero the measurement of a sensor.

Note

If multiple measurements are all measured by the same sensor, performing either of the below methods will set all of those measurements to zero simultaneously. It is not possible to separately zero individual measurements on a single sensor.

Zero a sensor from the Controls palette

  1. In the Controls palette, locate the Sample Rate controls.

  2. Click the menu in the Sample Rate controls, then select a sensor from the list.

  3. Click Zero Sensor Now to set all measurements of the selected sensor to zero.

Zero a sensor from the Properties menu

  1. From the Hardware Setup tool , click Properties next to a sensor's name to open the Properties menu for that sensor.

  2. Select from one of three options related to zeroing the sensor:

    Zero Sensor Properties

    • Zero Sensor Measurements at Start: When this box is checked, the sensor measurements are automatically set to zero at the start of each new run.
    • Zero Sensor Now: Set all measurements of the selected sensor to zero.
    • Remove Sensor Zero Offset: Restore the zero values of the sensor's measurements to their factory-calibrated values.
