Change a Wireless Sensor's measurement range

Toggle the range of a measurement on certain Wireless Sensors.

Certain Wireless Sensors allow you to toggle their measurements between two or more ranges of measurable values. The sensors which offer range options for their measurements are:

• Wireless Voltage Sensor (PS-3211)
• Wireless Current Sensor (PS-3212)
• Wireless Motion Sensor (PS-3219)
• Wireless Magnetic Field Sensor (PS-3221)
• Wireless Acceleration/Altimeter (PS-3223)

Follow the steps below to change the measurement range of these sensors.

1. Connect the sensor to Capstone.

2. From the Hardware Setup tool, click the Properties icon next to the name of the sensor.

   

   Note

   If you are using the Wireless Acceleration/Altimeter (PS-3223), you must instead click the Properties icon next to the name of the built-in Wireless Acceleration Sensor.

3. Locate the range setting in the Properties menu. The name of this setting will vary between sensors but will always include the word "Range".

4. Click the dropdown box for the range setting and select the desired range from the list, as shown below.

   

5. Click OK to close the Properties menu.
