DataStudio prompts me for a license key. Where do I find it?
Unless you specifically ordered a "full" version of DataStudio (DataStudio, Single User (CI-6870G), DataStudio, Classroom License(CI-6859C), or DataStudio, Site License (CI-6871G)), then you should not have received a printed license key; however, you are still entitled to both evaluate the "full" version for 90 days and use the "lite" version indefinitely. (See DataStudio Full Version versus Lite Version for a detailed comparison.)
To use the lite version of the software indefinitely, click the Enter DataStudio Lite Key button that appears in the lower left corner of the dialog box in which you are prompted for a license key, click the Apply button, close the dialog box, and restart DataStudio.
If you believe that you ordered or are otherwise entitled to a "full" version of DataStudio, then look for the license key either on the CD case or on a registration card inside the yellow envelope that contained the DataStudio CD. If you cannot locate the license key, but you already entered the license key into DataStudio on another computer, you may recover the key from the DataStudio Help/Change License Key... dialog. If you are located within the USA and cannot locate your license key at all, please contact Teacher Support to verify your purchase and we will generate a replacement license for you. If you are located outside of the US, please contact the local PASCO representative from whom you purchased the equipment to obtain a replacement license key.
Whether you have the lite or full versions of DataStudio, you are entitled to download the latest revision from the PASCO DataStudio download page at no charge.
