Tech Note 272 Detail

No logged data

Affected Products:

CI-6765A Science Workshop 500

Problem/Symptom:
When I use the data logging feature of my 500 interface and then reconnect to the computer, the software finds the interface but the message that appears on the screen is "An interface was found, but it contained no logged data". What can I do?

PASCO Solution:
Make sure that:
  • The switch on the back of the 500 interface is always in the "on" position.
  • The 500 interface has new batteries and they are installed properly.
  • The interface is blinking rapidly (two blinks per second)during data collection.
  • When connecting the interface to the adapter, make sure that the AC adapter is plugged into the wall before plugging it into the back of the 500 interface.
  • When you press the log button on the front of the 500 interface, make sure that you do not push it in for too long. Holding in the log button will delete the data recorded.
If you still encounter problems, test the 500 interface to make sure you can collect data while the 500 interface is still attached to the computer. Contact Technical Support if problems persist.
