No signal in WavePort

Problem/Symptom:
I have a microphone connected to the computer, but I still do not get any sound.

PASCO Solution:
  1. Click on the picture of a microphone to ensure that it is activated.
  2. Check that the software accompanying your microphone was installed and that it appears in the Device Manager.
  3. Restart the computer.
  4. Open from the Start menu "Programs/Accessories/Entertainment/Volume Control".
  5. Select "Options/Properties". Select the "Recording" check box.
  6. Check "Microphone" and increase the volume on the slider until a signal is visible.
