When I started Science Workshop I got a message "Your 750 interface contains software in flash ROM that may not be compatible with this version of Science Workshop..." and I had two options, CANCEL or START. What should I do?
The 750 interface stores its operating system and waveform patterns in flash memory. Because this information is in flash memory, the Science Workshop software can make updates automatically when a new version is available.
When the message appears, simply click on the START button and the latest version will be loaded into your interface. Be careful not to disturb the interface, cabling, or computer during this update. When the update is done, the Science Workshop program will open as usual.
If you use the SCSI connection, the information will be transferred faster than if you use the serial connection.
Note: This message may also appear if you change the SCSI ID number on the back of your interface. Simply click START and the software will update the interface.
