Instructions on how to update firmware for Air Link 2 and SPARKLink Air

PASCO Solution:

Previous firmware for both Air Links 2 and SPARKLink Air displayed an issue that limited the amount of pairing at 16 devices (smart phones, tablets, computers, etc.). Any new devices after that was prevented from pairing indicated by a connectivity error message. Below are instructions on how to update your Bluetooth interfaces.

  1. Run the latest version of either PASCO Capstone or SPARKvue
  2. Connect the PASCO interface that needs a firmware update to your computer
  3. If the firmware needs to be updated, you will be prompted to update the firmware. Select 'Yes' when asked if you want to update the firmware
  4. Wait for update completion.
  5. Disconnect the PASCO interface

Please note that firmware version that fixes the 16 device pair limit issue is as follows:

SPARKLink Air firmware version 1.8
