Tech Note 1204 Detail

Software fails to recognize sensors on the port closest to the voltage sensor.

Affected Products:

PS-2011 SPARKlink Air
PS-2168 PASPORT General Science Sensor

Problem/Symptom:
Software fails to recognize sensors on the port closest to the voltage sensor.

PASCO Solution:

The best start up procedure for the use of the SPARKlink Air is to power on the interface before plugging in any sensor. In some cases, when a sensor is plugged in prior to the the SPARKlink Air being powered on, the interface will not recognize the sensor and will need to be restarted before it can recognize any sensor that is plugged into it.

Please follow the directions below:

  1. Turn off the power on the SPARKlink Air.
  2. Disconnect all sensors from the SPARKlink Air.
  3. Turn on the power to the SPARKlink Air
  4. Reconnect the SPARKlink Air to SPARKvue.
    1. Go to the Home screen.
    2. Tap the SPARKvue icon.
    3. Select Connect Sensors via Bluetooth.
    4. Identify you SPARKlink Air by the ID on the back.
    5. Click on the corresponding SPARKlink Air in the list. (If your SPARKlink does not appear in the list, be sure that the blue Bluetooth LED is blinking and that the sensor is paired with the device.)
    6. Click OK.
  5. Connect the sensor to the SPARKlink Air.
