SPARK KML, GIS, GPX export options - unavailable.

Problem/Symptom:
SPARK KML, GIS, GPX export options are unavailable.

PASCO Solution:

In order for the GIS, KML, or GPX export options to be available, you must connect a PASCO PASPORT GPS Position Sensor - PS-2175 sensor to either a SPARK SLS or the SPARKvue software before collecting data with any other sensor.

Detailed directions appear below:

SPARK Science Learning System (standalone)

  1. Connect a GPS sensor (and any other sensors you will be using) to the SPARK SLS.
  2. Click the home button at the top left of the screen to create a new SPARK lab.
  3. Collect your data.
  4. Connect a USB FLASH drive to the larger USB port on the SPARK SLS.
  5. Select Sharing/Export Data.
  6. Select the format as GIS (My World), KML (Google Earth), or GPX.
  7. Click Export.

SPARKvue

  1. Connect a GPS sensor (and any other sensors you will be using) to a PASPort interface or SPARK SLS connected to the USB port of the computer running SPARKvue.
  2. Click the home button at the top left of the SPARKvue screen to create a new SPARK lab.
  3. Collect your data.
  4. Select Sharing/Export Data. (An Export Data dialog will appear)
  5. In the Save as type text box. Select the format as GIS (My World), KML (Google Earth), or GPX.
