PASCO Polarimeter: Introduction

Learn how the new PASCO Polarimeter is used to measure the optical rotation of plane polarized light by chiral compounds.

Following a visual demonstration with corn syrup, we use the Polarimeter to quantify the optical rotation of plane polarized light by a sucrose solution by determining the angle of rotation with the greatest intensity.
