How do I find the envelope function for a damped harmonic oscillator within PASCO Capstone? This video shows how to use the amplitude function to find the peak values for a decaying exponential function so that the curve fit can be used to determine its mathematical form. If you have difficulty using the curve fit, please make sure that you do not have points that are outside of the oscillations shown by the rest of the system. These outliers can cause difficulties for the application of the function. Please delete, discard, or filter out these extraneous points.
