Glenn Starkey is in the Education Solutions group where he creates written and multimedia training materials, and delivers professional development and training to users of PASCO equipment at the elementary, middle school, high school and university levels. Before his move to training, Starkey supported science teachers in the Technical Support department. He earned a BS in Physics at the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire and taught English at a middle school in Japan before coming to PASCO.
Susan Watson came to PASCO from a diverse background in politics and a stint at a world-wide fast food chain's corporate headquarters. She attended California State University, Sacramento and graduated from Heald Business College. Susan provides invaluable coordination, planning, and logistics support for Professional Development's programs and Curriculum Development projects. She always has a friendly smile and a cheerful attitude as well as a sharp wit. Susan excels in writing and organization which helps her keep on top of things around here. In her spare time, she participates in major community fundraising efforts.
J.J. Plank develops PASCO scientific Physics curriculum for all education levels, along with the delivery and facilitation of PASCO product trainings. Prior to joining PASCO, Plank worked as a supplemental Physics and Mathematics instructor at Lake Tahoe Community College in California where he developed his teaching skills to deliver science curriculum most effectively in the classroom. He continues to deliver highly successful trainings and demonstrations to a broad audience of PASCO equipment users ranging from elementary school students to California State Highway Patrol investigators to international instructors, including university professors. J.J. holds a degree in Applied Physics with an emphasis in Quantum Optics from the University of California at Davis.
Ronn Fieldhouse is the Chemistry solutions expert in the group. He has 20 years of classroom teaching experience in General Science, Chemistry, Honors Chemistry and AP Chemistry. Ronn has a BS degree in Chemistry, an MS degree in Curriculum & Instruction and another MS degree in Administration. In addition to preparing for professional development activities at all science levels, Ronn has been developing new curriculum and updating existing curriculums in the field of chemistry. He enjoys the outdoors, especially mountain biking and rock/ice climbing and loves a clever lab. Ronn is a 1999 recipient of the distinguished Golden Apple, awarded to outstanding teachers in the Chicago area.
Brennan Collins is the Digital Design and Production Specialist for the Education Solutions group. He works with our subject area experts to create graphics and illustrations for PASCO biology, chemistry, and physics content, including printed lab manuals and digital SPARKlabs. He also designs subject-specific e-newsletters and announcements for online trainings. He earned his B.A. from Webster University and his M.Ed. from Portland State University. When not at work, Brennan spends his time trying to keep up with the nonstop shenanigans of his two young boys.
Barbara Pugliese designs Biology curriculum and delivers training for PASCO worldwide. She has over 15 years of experience as a high school Chemistry, Oceanography, and Environmental Science teacher in addition to several years of experience as an Instructional Designer. Barbara also worked as an adjunct professor in the Physical Science and Education Departments at Dixie State University in St. George, Utah. She earned a B.S. in Biology from Cal Poly, Pomona, and a M.A. in Education Technology at San Diego State University. Barbara enjoys outdoor activities such as backpacking, snowboarding, and mountain biking.
Jonathan Hanna is our Curriculum and Training Specialist for Engineering. Jonathan brings seven years experience in teaching high school Physics and AP Physics. He earned a BS in Physics from UC Santa Cruz and a Teaching Credential from San Jose State University. In his spare time, Jonathan enjoys reading about the history of science, playing the piano and spending time outdoors with his family.
