Enzyme Activity

In this lab, students investigate the catalyzed decomposition of hydrogen peroxide by catalase or peroxidase using a pressure sensor to monitor the rate of the reaction. For a more inquiry-based investigation, students can manipulate the substrate or enzyme concentration, pH, or temperature.
