Radioactive Decay and Half-Life

Students measure the counts coming from a sample of Ba - 137m with a Geiger counter. They answer questions about radioactive decay and half-life during the 10-minute data collection time. They use the resulting graph to estimate the half-life and decay constant. They use an exponential fit to find the half-life and decay constant. Students use their results to answer questions about exponential decay.
