Featured in PASCO’s Biology through Inquiry Teacher Guide
Features 25 inquiry based labs covering the fundamental concepts of cell biology, ecology and physiology.
Exercise & Respiration Rate
Use a breath rate sensor to measure the resting respiration rates of individuals and determine whether exercise causes a change in respiration rate.
Measure the resting respiration rates of individuals and determine whether exercise causes a change in respiration rate.
Students gain experience conducting the following procedures:
- Using a breath rate sensor, students measure respiration rate before, during, and after exercise.
- Using analysis tools, students perform calculations on the data.
Sensors / Equipment Used:
Uses standard disposable dust mask to measure the breath rate by detecting pressure changes inside the mask. For use with PASPORT Interfaces.
The Associated Bundle:
This expansion bundle contains the probeware needed to perform the 5 physiology activities in the Biology through Inquiry lab manual.
