The Elementary Science Starter Lab Station makes it easy and affordable to begin using sensor-based technology in your elementary school science classroom or at home. Inside the Starter Lab Station are the wireless sensors used to perform 7 activities from the Essential Elementary Science Lab Manual. Available separately is the Elementary Science Extension Lab Station (PS-3315) which, when combined with the Elementary Science Starter Lab Station, comprises all the wireless sensors used to perform the 10 labs inside the Essential Elementary Science Lab Manual.
Components of the Starter Lab Station
Wireless Sensors: PASCO's rugged, low-cost wireless sensors connect directly to computers, Chromebooks, tablets, and mobile devices to allow students to quickly collect data, leaving more time for analyzing and interpreting data. This lab station includes:
- 1x Wireless Motion Sensor (PS-3219)
- 1x Wireless Temperature Sensor (PS-3201)
- 1x Wireless Light Sensor (PS-3213)
Gratnells Storage Tray: Every Starter Lab Station includes a Gratnells storage tray with a custom insert designed to securely fit each sensor and accessory. These trays provide a convenient and well-ordered storage solution for any classroom, while also making transportation between classrooms effortless. The custom storage insert also includes spaces for each complementary sensor from the Elementary Science Extension Lab Station, which can be purchased separately.
Digital Access to Lab Activities: Included with the Starter Lab Station is digital access to PASCO's Essential Elementary Science Lab Manual.
Printed Samples of Student Handouts: The 10 lab activity handouts from Essential Elementary Science Lab Manual are printed, bound in a booklet, and included in the Lab Station for your convenience.
Distance Learning Resources: The 10 labs found in the Printed Samples Booklet also include digital resources to support distance learning for students working at home. These resources include live video recordings of data collection and sample data files that students can use to perform their own analyses.
The Essential Elementary Science Lab Manual includes 10 lab activities that integrate PASCO sensors and equipment for an engaging year of elementary school science teaching. The combined Elementary Science Starter Lab Station (PS-3314) and Elementary Science Extension Lab Station (PS-3315) comprise the sensors used to perform all 10 labs.
