PASPORT Light Level Sensor - PS-2177

Go Wireless!

Recommended Alternative — The Wireless Light Sensor can perform most* of the functions of the PASPORT Light Level Sensor and long-term light level data can be logged directly onto the sensor. Best of all, it connects directly** to your computers, tablets, smartphones and Chromebooks without the need for an interface and with no cables to get in the way.

*The range and sample rate of the Wireless Light Sensor are lower: 0-130,000 lux vs 0-150,000 lux ; max sample rate of 2 Hz vs 250 Hz

**Devices without native Bluetooth® Smart connectivity will require a low cost USB adapter - see the product pages for details.

Overview

The Light Level Sensor measures illuminance in lux. The readings of this sensor mimic the wavelength sensitivity of the human eye, which is most sensitive in the green portion of the spectrum. This is achieved with a green filter in the light sensor.
