Since the early days, when PASCO was a small company with just a handful of employees, giving back to the community has been one of our core values.
Over the years our efforts have grown to match the growth of the company, and in 2002 we established the PASCO foundation. Through the PASCO foundation, employees can make contributions to local non-profits with the assurance that 100% of their contribution goes to the charity of their choice. PASCO covers all of the administration costs of the foundation so more money reaches organizations serving our community. Since 2002, we have given over $957,000 to local charities serving people in need.
In addition to cash contributions made through payroll deductions, PASCO employees get out in the community to make a difference where it matters most. In the last few years, we’ve collected over 3 tons of food for the River City Food Bank to help stock the shelves of thousands of families in need, and we’ve walked hundreds of miles through the night to raise thousands of dollars for The American Cancer Society with the PASCO Relay for Life team. Through our pocketbooks, our time and our dedication, we know we are making a difference in our community.
A committee of employees serving on the Needs and Allocations Committee reviews agencies and meets with agency representatives. The team recommendations for funding to the PASCO foundation Board of Directors. Grants are made on an annual basis, and approved applicants are notified in April. When allocating funds to approved agencies, we look to balance the distribution among services for children and youth, services for the homeless, hungry and disaster victims, and services for the elderly and disabled.
