PASCO Wireless Sensors win a GESS Education Award for Innovative STEM products

PASCO Scientific Wins Prestigious GESS International Education Award for Its Line of Wireless Science Education Solutions for STEM Classrooms in K-12 and Higher Education

At the Global Educational Supplies and Solutions 2017 Conference last week in Dubai, PASCO Scientific received the coveted Product Innovation Award for STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) in the GESS Education Awards (GEA) competition. The GEA is an annual event that celebrates excellence in education for suppliers, teachers, educational professionals, and schools throughout the Middle East.

The leading provider of 21st century science education solutions for K-12 school districts and universities around the world, PASCO Scientific was recognized for its comprehensive line of Wireless Sensors, which open up new opportunities for students to engage in scientific inquiry, and think and act like scientists. In addition to PASCO’s advanced dynamics Smart Cart, its current line of Wireless Sensors includes pH, temperature, pressure, force/acceleration, conductivity, light, voltage, and current sensors. By simplifying lab setup and removing the clutter of cables, the Wireless Sensors enable students to perform experiments that were difficult or impossible before, and spend more time exploring. Using the sensors’ onboard memory, students can stream live data or collect and store data on the sensors.

“The fact that PASCO was born from a science fair project makes this international award seem all the more meaningful,” said Steven Korte, CEO of PASCO Scientific. “We are honored to know that educators and students around the world — no matter their location, background or language — are experiencing and learning about science with the help of our probeware, equipment, and curriculum.”

Celebrating excellence in the education industry, the GESS Education Awards highlight and reward the quality and diversity of products, resources, services, and professionals that serve education in the Middle East. GEA entries are independently judged by a panel of expert judges who reviewed the submissions and selected those products and services they believe demonstrate innovation at the highest level. PASCO Scientific beat out eight other international companies to win the STEM Product Innovation Award.

PASCO has been designing, developing, and supporting innovative teaching and learning solutions for K–12 and higher education since 1964. PASCO’s team of educators, scientists, educational researchers, engineers, and many others is committed to the advancement of STEM education around the world.
