For The Third Year Running, Science Classroom Solutions From PASCO Scientific Are Finalists In The Prestigious Bett Awards

PASCO’s wireless sensors are the first in K–;16 education to be compatible across all operating system platforms

The list of finalists in the Bett Awards 2017 is out, and PASCO Scientific’s collection of wireless sensors is one of just eight nominees shortlisted from among hundreds of entries in the Digital Devices category. Organized by Ascential Events and the British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA), the Bett Awards recognize and celebrate excellence in the use of information technology in education.

Introduced earlier this year, PASCO’s line of wireless sensors currently includes pH, temperature, pressure, light, conductivity, voltage, current, and force/acceleration sensors. Additional sensors will be introduced in 2017. By simplifying lab setup and removing the clutter of cables, the PASCO wireless sensors allow students to perform experiments that were difficult or impossible before, and spend more time exploring. With prices starting at £36.55, PASCO’s wireless technology also helps schools save money by eliminating the need for a separate device to connect sensors to a computer, tablet or smartphone. Students can simply transmit the data directly from the wireless sensor to their device.

“For more than 50 years PASCO has worked to advance science education through the innovative application of technology solutions. To be recognized by such an esteemed international program as BETT is truly an honor and validation that our technologies and lab activities are helping foster student interest and achievement in the sciences,” said Steven Korte, CEO of PASCO.
