PASPort driver fails to install on a Windows Computer.

PASPort driver is not found.

(This Tech Note applies to DataStudio version 1.9.8.2 and earlier versions. Users of DataStudio on non-US versions of Windows, please skip to step 7.)

Connect the PS-2100 USB Link to any USB port on the computer.

Navigate to PASPort USB Link in the Windows Device Manager.

Click the Windows Start button.

Right click on My Computer.

Select Properties.

Select the Hardware tab.

Click the Device Manager button.

Navigate to USB controllers. (If the Link was correctly identified by Windows, it should appear as PASPort USB Link.)

Double click on PASPort USB Link and select the Driver tab.

Select Update Driver.

Select the Install from a list or specific location check box.

Have it search C:\Program Files\PASCO scientific\Common Files\Drivers (or C:\Program Files\DataStudio\Driver in older versions of DataStudio).

If you still have problems, disconnect the PS-2100 USB Link from the computer's USB port.

Download and extract this updated driver package.

Run Dpinst.exe.

Reconnect the PS-2100 USB Link to any USB port on the computer.
