South Africa's "Stone Dragon" Campers Explore Environment

Peter Le Roux operates "Stone Dragon", an educational camping and excursion program in Cape Town, South Africa. He has integrated hands-on activities into his curriculum, to teach students the definitions and importance of environmental factors in and around the Cape Town area.

The photos demonstrate Mr. Lestone dragon science camp in South Africa Roux's students using the Xplorer datalogger and a Temperature Sensor to measure:

• differences in air temperature during various points of the day
• impact on cloud cover/shade on air temperature
• how air temperature compares to that of soil
• variations in water temperature during daytime heating
