PTRA Program
PASCO is pleased to support the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT) and its Physics Teaching Resource Agents (PTRA) program. The PTRA, sponsored by the American Association of Physics Teachers, provides over 50 different workshops for physics and physical science teachers in grades six through 12. Taught and developed by some of the finest physics teachers in the country, AAPT/PTRA workshops provide instruction in both content and educational research supported instruction methods to help teachers meet their students' needs. From workshops that use the latest technology to ones that rely on simple "tried and true" methods, the AAPT/PTRA program can improve physics education at all levels.
The AAPT/PTRA provides NSF sponsored programs for rural and urban teachers, as well as fee-for-service workshops for other school districts and teachers. Some workshops provide stipends for the participants. For further information about these programs and the American Association of Physics Teachers, visit the AAPT web site.
