Meet the Professional Development Staff
Susan Watson
Susan Watson came to PASCO from a diverse background in politics and a stint at a world-wide fast food chain's corporate headquarters. She attended California State University, Sacramento and graduated from Heald Business College. Susan provides invaluable coordination, planning, and logistics support for Professional Development's programs and Curriculum Development projects. She always has a friendly smile and a cheerful attitude as well as a sharp wit. Susan excels in writing and organization which helps her keep on top of things around here. In her spare time, she participates in major community fundraising efforts. (watson@pasco.com)
Glenn Starkey
Glenn Starkey is in the Education Solutions group where he creates written and multimedia training materials, and delivers professional development and training to users of PASCO equipment at the elementary, middle school, high school and university levels. Before his move to training, Starkey supported science teachers in the Technical Support department. He earned a BS in Physics at the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire and taught English at a middle school in Japan before coming to PASCO. (starkey@pasco.com)
Jennifer Chambers
Jennifer Chambers is a Biology Curriculum and Training Specialist with the Education Solutions department at PASCO scientific. In addition to delivering professional development to teachers who incorporate PASCO technologies in their science curriculum, she writes biology science labs based inquiry. She has also worked in the Teacher Support department. Chambers has over 8 years of teaching experience, mostly at the high school level with one year in middle school. She has a BA in Natural Sciences, with an emphasis in Biology from California State University Fresno, and obtained her teaching credential from California State University, Sacramento (email: chambers@pasco.com).
Amy Flindt
Amy Flindt is a curriculum and training developer in the Education Solutions department at PASCO scientific. She writes science labs that incorporate PASCO technologies to enhance the learning of science concepts. Flindt also leads professional development workshops to train teachers on using and incorporating PASCO equipment in their science classes. Prior to joining PASCO, Flindt was a classroom science teacher for 10 years. She taught chemistry, IB chemistry, environmental science, and integrated science in a mixture of public and private schools in the U.S. and abroad. Flindt earned her BS degree in chemistry from Willamette University and holds a California single subject teaching credential in chemistry. (email: aflindt@pasco.com)
JJ Plank
J.J. Plank develops PASCO scientific Physics curriculum for all education levels, along with the delivery and facilitation of PASCO product trainings. Prior to joining PASCO, Plank worked as a supplimental Physics and Mathematics instuctor at Lake Tahoe Community College in California where he developed his teaching skills to deliver science curriculum most effectively in the classroom. He continues to deliver highly successful trainings and demonstrations to a broad audience of PASCO equipment users ranging from elementary school students to California State Highway Patrol investigators to international instructors, including university professors. Plank holds a degree in Applied Physics with an emphasis in Quantum Optics from the University of California at Davis. (email: plank@pasco.com)
Robert Morrison
Robert Morrison is a Curriculum and Training Developer for the Education Solutions ar PASCO scientific. He leads the effort in developing inquiry-based physics lab activities for the high school level and develops multimedia training materials. A long-time veteran of PASCO, he has lead the Technical Support Department and played a significant roll in product design and development as a Product Manager. Morrison holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Physics from the University of the Pacific in California, US. (email: morrison@pasco.com)
