Designed to measure both pulling and pushing forces allowing labs from cart collisions to tug-of-war.
See the Buying Guide for this item's required, recommended, and additional accessories.
Product Summary
PASCO’s durable, reliable Force Sensor has been designed specifically for the student physics lab. Its wide-range, high-frequency response and low noise transducer help generate excellent impulse graphs, smooth harmonic motion data, and more. The sensor’s special strain gauge consistently generates the same output for the same force and is designed to minimize side loads. Damping materials reduce vibrations caused by collisions without affecting results. Any dynamics cart accessory can be mounted on top this Force Sensor.
Features
- Ignores Side Loads
- -50 to +50 N range
- Built-in Accessory Tray
Applications
- Measure force during elastic and inelastic collisions
- Measure force exerted by an oscillating mass
- Measure force of a swinging pendulum

Force & Acceleration Sensors
Force and acceleration sensors are devices that measure force properties and aspects of motion. You can apply these sensors while investigating phenomena in fields like physics, engineering, and physical sciences.
Using ScienceWorkshop Sensors
PASCO's original line of sensors (in the black cases) can be used directly with the 550 or 850 Universal Interfaces, the legacy ScienceWorkshop Interfaces, or with our other PASPORT interfaces by using the correct adapter.
