The NI ELVIS is used to control the Fan Accessory based on measurements from the Force Sensor.
ScienceWorkshop sensors can now be used with National Instruments LabView 7+ in one of two configurations:
- A Windows PC or Macintosh via the National Instruments™ Educational Laboratory Virtual Instruments Suite (NI ELVIS) using one of the following adapters:
- Analog ScienceWorkshop Sensor Adapter (CI-6718)
- Digital ScienceWorkshop Sensor Adapter (CI-6719)
and one of the following free Virtual Instrument Libraries:
- PASCO-Elvis Virtual Instrument Library for Windows (.zip file "PASCO.llb" - 1.4 MB)
- PASCO-Elvis Virtual Instruments for Macintosh (.sit file "PASCO.llb" - 1.3 MB)
- Or limited support is provided on a Windows PC via one of the the following interface:
- ScienceWorkshop 750, USB (CI-7650)
and the following download:
- SW750Bridge.zip (zip file, 1.1 MB). Includes a LabView Library file, "PASCOSW750.llb," and a .dll file, "SW750Bridge.dll."
In configuration 2 the following capabilities are available:
- 1 motion sensor
- Photogate timing on all 4 channels (not available with other inputs active).
- Analog sensor input sampling at <50 Hz on channels A, B and C
Configuration 2 does not support the following:
- Output voltage measurement
- Output current measurement
- Function generator control
