In this Ocean Optics Absorption Spectrometer System, the Red Tide Spectrometer is preconfigured to and controlled by the Xplorer GLX to record spectrum and light intensity using the included Integrated Light Source with cuvette holder and 10 Plastic Cuvettes. 

Choose single wavelengths for Beer's law studies or scan a single wavelength versus time for kinetics studies. The Ocean Optics Red Tide and the Xplorer GLX are a perfect fit for chemistry labs or field studies.

How It Works

Ocean Optics Red Tide Spectrometer

The Ocean Optics Red Tide Spectrometer is a low-cost lab spectrometer that's ideal as a general-purpose instrument for teaching and research labs. The Red Tide offers a 1 nm resolution over the wavelength range of 350-1000 nm (linear silicon CCD array with 650 active pixels).

Absorption Spectroscopy

View full scan spectral data in real-time on the Xplorer GLX. This system includes the Ocean Optics Red Tide Spectrometer and a direct-attach light source and sample holder. The light source includes an LED-boosted tungsten source and a sample holder for 1-cm cuvettes that connects to the front of the spectrometer. Choose single wavelengths for Beer's Law studies or scan a single wavelength versus time for kinetic studies In this configuration, the system has a wavelength range of 370-980 nm. This system is a perfect fit for chemistry labs or a variety of field studies.

SPARK and SPARKvue users don't require a license key to use the Red Tide Spectrometer and should purchase this version instead:
