Meter Stick Oscillations
In this experiment, students find the relationship between the period of vibration of a meter stick and the length of the meter stick. The period of the vibrating stick is measured with a photogate. If you would like to send us a lab using PASCO equipment, attach it to: gclarion@rocklin.k12.ca.us.

Super Fan Cart (ME-6977)
- Constant force
- Rechargeable
- Programmable
Vector forces, Newton's Laws and even aerodynamics are all easily investigated with PASCO's new Super Fan Cart.
Rotating the fan angle through 180 degrees allows for a qualitative and quantitative investigation of vector forces. And the ability to program the fan to pulse for a specific time aids in explaining both Newton's 1st and 2nd Laws as students will observe that the cart only accelerates when the force is applied. You can even vary the speed of the fan or add mass to the cart.
The removable sail is great for Newton's 3rd Law demonstrations as in one orientation it will not move. However, in the opposite orientation the curved sail forces the air backwards and creates thrust - a great demonstration of aeronautic principles.
Rugged with a rechargeable battery and useful for exploring a number of physics principles, you'll find yourself reaching for the Super Fan Cart over and over again.
