Data Acquisition: Getting Started
Choose an interface and sensors from ScienceWorkshop, our analog line of probeware, or PASPORT, our digital line of probeware.
PASPORT
- Self-identifying Sensors
- Digital Data Output
- USB Link Provides Low Entry Cost
- Unique Multi-measure Sensors with Variable Oversampling
ScienceWorkshop
- Ideal for teaching about analog sensors
- Use with LabVIEW
- Use with your circuits using the CI Sensor Voltage Monitor (CI-6611)
- The USB 750 is PASCO's fastest interface
PASPORT Probeware
1. Choose Your PASPORT Sensors
PASPORT sensors are all-digital to ensure the cleanest, most stable data. Each sensor includes a microprocessor which provides auto-ID capability and oversampling of the data before reporting it to the computer.
2. Add a PASPORT Interface
- Use as a Graphing Datalogger or Computer Interface (USB connection)
- 4 PASPORT Sensor Ports
- 4 Built-in Sensors (2 Temperature, Voltage, Sound)
- Dual Function Generator
- Built-in Speaker
- 12 MB of Internal Memory
- Accepts USB Flash Drive
- Prints Directly to Select HP Printers Xplorer GLX Interface (PS-2002)
- Low Cost
- Connects a Single PASPORT Sensor to USB Computer Port
- Use Multiple USB Links for More Sensors USB Link Interface (PS-2100A)
3. Add DataStudio Software
DataStudio software is easy to use and features advanced analysis tools such as a built-in scientific calculator and a wide selection of data curve fits. In addition, any combination of digital and analog* sensors can be used simultaneously. Students can also use DataStudio to apply signal conditioning techniques to both analog and digital data.* Choose from a single user license or a site license for your engineering department. A site license allows DataStudio to be used on all computers within a single department.

ScienceWorkshop Probeware
1. Choose Your ScienceWorkshop Sensors
Use ScienceWorkshop Sensors in your physics courses to collect both analog and digital data. PASCO offers more than 40 sensors designed to collect high-quality data and withstand the rigors of student use.
2. Select the 750 Interface
- USB Connection to the Computer
- 3 Analog Ports and 4 TTL Ports
- Built-in Function Generator
- Use with ScienceWorkshop Software as a Five-channel Oscilloscope
- Fast: 250,000 Hz Maximum Sample Rate 750 Interface, USB (CI-7650)
Power Amplifier II (CI-6552A) -- adds even more capability to the 750.
