  1. It is not extremely important that students completely match the given graph. It is there to give students a framework in which to begin. It is also there to give students some understanding of the relationship between the motion of an object and its corresponding position v. time graph.

  2. Make sure students do NOT allow the cars to strike the motion sensor.

  3. Make sure items like books, computers, etc. are kept away from the track so as not to affect the motion sensor.

  4. The motion matching and the conversions from position-time to velocity-time to acceleration-time graphs may take up to 50 minutes. The conversions from acceleration-time to velocity-time to position-time graphs are independent of the first activity. It may wait until the next class period.
