Experimental Setup:
Please note: Upgrade to the latest Xplorer GLX firmware.
HARDWARE SETUP:
- Arrange a Universal Table Clamp, two rods, a Multi-Clamp, and a Force Sensor as in the picture above.
- Tie a 1.5 meter length of string to the hook of the Force Sensor.
- Thread the other end of the string through the hollow tube.
- Secure a plastic tie through the center of the #10 rubber stopper.
- Tie the free end of the string to the plastic tie.
- Connect the Force Sensor to the Xplorer GLX.
- Using a permanent marker, make marks on the string at 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 cm from the center of the stopper.
SOFTWARE SETUP:
- Turn on the GLX
.
- Press the Home
Button.
- Press
to select the Sensors Icon.
- Using the Arrow and Check Buttons, change the Sample Rate to "100." Make "Force, push positive" not visible and "Force, pull positive" visible as in the picture above.
- Press the Home
Button.
- Press
to select the Graph Icon.
- Press the "Zero" button on the Force Sensor.
