PASCO

Experimental Setup for the 750 Interface using DataStudio:

    1. Connect the 750 Interface to the serial or SCSI port of the computer. Plug the Motion Sensor into digital channels 1 and 2.

    2. Place the dynamics track on a level horizontal surface and place the car in the middle of the track.

    3. Attach the Force Accessory Bracket to one end of the track making certain that the metal flap aligns with the plunger on the car (see photo below).

    4. Clip the Motion Sensor on the other end of the track and put the switch on the near setting (if available).

Note: PASPORT sensors are used for experiment setup purposes only and are not compatible with the 750 Interface.

    5. Arrange the cord from the Motion Sensor such that it does not interfere with the motion of the car.

    6. Place the cork-bottomed tray in the mass tray of the car. Push in the plunger to the second setting and move the car so that the plunger is resting against the metal flap on the Force Accessory Bracket (see photo below).
