  • If the magnets are to close to each other, they may apply forces directly through magnetic repulsion/attraction. Keep them beyond this distance.

  • Make all attachments firm and use a sturdy table or lab bench as the masses may couple through the table.

  • Keep all ferromagnetic materials away from the magnets.

  • Make certain that the bottom end of the magnet oscillates near the top of the coil.
