- Make sure the students place the correct Motion Sensor either to the right or left of the track as explained in each set-up.
- The motion sensors must point parallel to the track.
- While the GLX is recording data, students should stand back so as to not interfere with the Motion Sensors.
- If plunger carts (with springs) are available, make sure students try the "explosion" collision.
- Students may ask how there can be 20 different types of collisions. Assure them that they can vary both the speed and mass of the collisions as well as the type of collision.
