Experimental Setup:

Please note: Upgrade to the latest Xplorer GLX firmware.

HARDWARE SETUP:
  1. Turn on the Xplorer GLX.
  2. Connect the Xplorer GLX to the Motion Sensor.
  3. Connect the Xplorer GLX to the Force Sensor.
  4. Attach the Force Sensor to a PasCar or GoCar.
  5. Attach the Motion Sensor to the track as in the picture above.
  6. Make sure the hook on the Force Sensor is not too tightly screwed into the Force Sensor.
  7. Make sure the switch at the top of the Motion Sensor is at the cart icon.
  8. With nothing in contact with the hook of the Force Sensor, press the Zero button on the Force Sensor.


SOFTWARE SETUP:

  1. The screen above should be visible on the Xplorer GLX.
  2. Change the vertical axis to "Force (Inverted):" Press the Check Check button Button twice. Use the Arrow Down Arrow button Buttons and the Check Button to select "Force (Inverted)."
  3. Change the horizontal axis to "Acceleration:" Press the Check Button once. Press the Down Arrow button until "Time" is highlighted. Press the check button again. Use the Arrow Buttons and Check Button to make the horizontal access "Acceleration" as in the picture above.
  4. Deselect Connected Lines: Press the F4 F4 button Button. Using the Arrow and Check Buttons deselect the Connected Lines feature.
