For best results, the hook of the Force Sensor must not be too tightly screwed into the Force Sensor. The hook should be screwed about half-way in.
The end of the cart nearest the Motion Sensor should never be within 15 cm of the Motion Sensor.
It is suggested that the instructor practice the technique of pulling and pushing the Cart/Force Sensor prior to the lab.
The Motion Sensor should be pointed directly toward the cart.
An extension to this lab may include determining the mass of a rock connected to the cart with two rubber bands.
Value differences between the actual slope value versus the “real” value may include the section of the Force Sensor’s cord.
