Experimental Setup for PASPORT:
PART 1:
- Connect the PASPORT interface to the USB port of the computer and plug the Motion Sensor into the interface.
- Make sure the switch at the top of the Motion Sensor is set to "Cart."
- Slide the Angle Indicator into the slot of the track. Attach the Motion Sensor and the Base and Rod to the track as in the picture above.

PART 2:
- Remove the Motion Sensor from the track. Attach it to the lower end of the track as in the picture above.
- Fasten down the Super Pulley to the upper end of the track.
- Tie one end of a 2 m length of string to the friction block.
- Attach the other end of the string to the mass hanger.
- Place the string over the groove of the Super Pulley so that the mass hanger hangs from the pulley.
- Slide the friction block down the track until the mass hanger is just below the Super Pulley.
- Adjust the Super Pulley so that the string is parallel to the track.
