Easily teach the principles of motion with a fun classroom activity. Help students more easily understand the basics of motion when they become the objects in motion.

With a simple classroom activity, students discover the spatial meaning of position and frame of reference. Using a motion sensor, students kinesthetically match their motion with the motion represented on a position vs. time graph.

Students will:
  • Recognize motion as the change in an object's position
  • Analyze and interpret graphs
  • Explore position and frame of reference
  • Differentiate between position, distance and distance traveled

Friendly Classroom Competition

Students can compete against one another to match the graph on the computer screen using the four included challenges.

Expand the use of the Match Graph Kit.

Students can use DataStudio Lite to import data, create original position-time graphs and challenge other student groups to try and match it!
