PASPORT Weather Sensor  (PS-2154)

Six measurement at once!

Our unique Weather Sensor allows students to collect and observe the six key measurements below simultaneously. Whether you're comparing outdoor measurements to indoor, or monitoring an approaching storm, this powerful MultiMeasure Sensor does it all. Once you've collected data, graphically view it in DataStudio to identify trends and investigate correlations.

  • Barometric Pressure
  • Absolute Humidity
  • Relative Humidity
  • Dew Point
  • Temperature
  • Relative Altitude

Weather Sensor

Typical Applications:

  • Create weather journals over weeks or months
  • Capture and study weather phenomena such as thunderstorms
  • Compare and contrast different microclimates around the school or community
  • Monitor closed systems such as terrariums
  • Investigate the relationship between humidity, temperature and dew point

The Weather/Anemometer Sensor measures wind speed, wind gusts and wind chill and humidity index in addition to temperature, barometric pressure, relative and absolute humidity, and dew point.

Weather/Anemometer Sensor

Typical Applications:

  • Study wind and pressure changes as a storm approaches
  • Collect weather data for weeks inside or outside the classroom
  • Measure relative air speed of a person in motion

You'll get forecasting, on-screen graphing, and much more. Quick view icons show the forecast at a glance -- sunny, partly sunny, cloudy, rain or snow -- while a moving ticker-tape display gives additional details. The integrated weather station sensor suite combines all the outdoor sensors into one package, making setup easier than ever and improving performance and reliability.

Benefits:

  • Most frequent interval -- every 2.5 seconds
  • Sophisticated forecasting algorithm takes wind and temperature into account -- not just barometric pressure
  • Great range for wireless transmission -- up to 400 feet -- even further with wireless repeaters
  • Over 80 graphs and 35 alarms available on the console

Features:

  • Barometric pressure
  • Forecast
  • Inside and outside temperatures
  • Inside and outside humidity
  • Heat index
  • Dew point
  • Moon phase
  • Rainfall for minutes, hours, days, month, year, and storm
  • Wind direction and speed
  • Wind chill
  • Time and date
  • Time of sunrise and sunset
